I would appreciate the forums interpretation of the following picture:

I came across it online some months ago and it claims to show an [Entwicklungs] E-10 along with a captured SU-122.

No source indicates that any E-10 were every built, not even a prototype, so is this picture real or fake?

It does not look like a photoshop edit, albeit to my untrained eyes. However the suspicious track alignment led me to think this may be a flimsy wooden mockup.

Apologies if this photograph has been discussed and concluded upon before

Regards,

Mandrake

I agree that it looks like a mocup. However, the lighting does seem to be off. I would say that it is a fake. I wouldn't be too hard to superimpose a image into the photo.

Looks like a fraud to me!

One thing my eye goes to is that drive sprocket on the purported E-10... curiously, it appears more-sharply delineated than do the fellows right beside it, etc. The tracks are, well, disturbing! When you look at German wood mock-ups, they don't look at all like these do! And then there is the weird lighting...

So, in my wholly amateur opinion, "Nah, this ain't real!"
