Hi Guy's,
Looking at wanting to change the German kv2, back to standard Russian gun tank, what would I need to remove / replace besides the German cupola & tools, ammo rack & Jerry cans? Any and all help & would be very much appreacatied.
Cheers Mike

Have a look here, the site shows All/some of the trumpeter KV tank kit instructions
http://www.model-making.eu/szukaj.php
this should give you an idea of what you need to replace
the next link may help you decide which version of the KV to try for (I can't vouch for the accuracy tho I suspect it's pretty good)
http://decalcomaniacs.net/KVseminar/KVSeminar.pdf
However you may find that sourcing a KV turret is as expensive as buying a whole new kit...
When I had this problem I decided to put together a tow tractor and was given some neat reference pics by the poster Minsk94. I'll post pictures when it's done

Woops
how to look like a fool, it's not a whole new turret you need just gun/mantlet/hatch
Have a look at Terry's review of the german KV and the corresponding russian original may help
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/trumpeter/tr00366.htm
Depending on what's in your kit you could pinch one of the rear hatches (cover the hole in canvas sheet/stowage) to use on the turret as they're visualy similar
(actually I think the turret hatch should be slightly larger than the rear ones, but Trumpeter's kits have them the same size)
good luck

Mike for the price of these Trumpeter KV tanks I would buy your preffered Russian KV and the German captured KV.
