This is my second M1117 Guardian, first was out of box. This time I wanted fill the interior with all openings open. I had a hard time locating online reference but managed to get enough to get started. I still need front interior shots of the driver and passenger seating.

I have some interior shots, and one diagram of the dash/control area. The interior shots are cluttered with some gear and partial, but they might answer some questions. What I can't seem to find is a good pic of the aluminum column channel that runs from floor to ceiling between the TC and driver's seats. (They attach to it and adjust up or down on it.)
I have more of the outside. We thought ours looked sorta like an sdkfz 222...

Hows the kit like? Is it an easy build?

I want to have one because it is a cool looking vehicle. I like the interior you made already.

Nice job so far!

Great Job on both projects
I wish just two projects, I need to finish up a few before April for the local and AMPS show.

Charles thanks for the offer, may take you up. That’s a great shot you posted and would make an interesting piece for the AMPS show.

Thanks Chris, as for the plastic diamond plate…I can’t tell you, not that I won’t but it was given to me by another modeler. I’ll have to ask and find out for you.

Thanks Boris and as far as I know there is not aftermarket interior for the Guardian. I doubt there’s enough demand for a set.

Thanks Hilbert…it builds up very easy. I will suggest painting doors and windshield first, then add windows followed by wiper blades. Once done glue in place, mask off the sensitive areas and paint the rest of the kits. If you follow the instructions you’ll have a hard time masking once parts added, especially the wiper blades against the front window.

Absolutely.
One of our kids is a big Indiana Jones fan so we were making him a little "windows movie". We took shots at the Ziggurat at Ur, Camp Stryker Baghdad, and the Iraqi tank graveyard at Taji(where most of these shots were taken in 2007) In the era of Abu Ghraib the ASV did NOT patrol the streets in its re-enactor's guise, just the tank graveyard and remoter areas of some camps. The balkenkreuse and palm tree were stickers printed out with a computer.
This vehicle is distinct in: The left rearview mirror is green, (and they are mounted upside down on an ASV, small mirror on top) there are tow chains strung between the tow points front and rear, and as most were, one FM antenna was remounted to an added GPS box at the right rear, while the Duke antenna took its original place on the left. (Armor Blast makes this upgrade)
There was a white reflective sticker above the front vision blocks and two red and white reflective stickers cut into the shape of cavalry pennants at the rear. There are no other external identification markings as these were ordered removed in Jan 2007 by our command.
Sadly linked album contains pictures of 720's demise too. EFP type IED north of Safwan Iraq.
The ASV is alot more awesome than even the Army realizes. It's an overlooked asset IMO.

Here's sort of a walk around of it the day it was destroyed.

No, it is the same vehicle. The 720th ASV manufactured by Textron. In service from March 2007 to June 10 2007 anywhere along Routes Tampa, Vernon, Sword, Long Island, and can be placed at Camps Virginia, Navistar, Cedar II, Scania, BIAP, Ramadi, or Balad. We were a detachment of the 1-221st Cavalry 11th ACR attached to A Co 1-121st FA, 336th Transportation group.
