Not to deflect from the current subject about the new Tamiya release of the T-55 Enigma, which looks pretty amazing? I just wondered how many other good kits they have which could well be updated to produce more recent versions. I’m thinking
Humvee
Bradley
M1A2
M113
Merkava
T62
T72
Challanger
No dough the list could be added to.

I would love a new T-72, I think that the T-62 is well covered by Trumpter but others point out lots of errors with the kit.
What Tamyia needs to do though is not just reissue models from the 80's with new boxart and with a price matching Dragon latest kits

Their T-62 is very old and incorrect, but I really wonder why the haven't made a T-72 family

I have often wondered why Tamyia does not slightly alter their T-55 and reissue as a different version after all they have been used around the world and the scope for variation is limitless. Same with their T-72M1, a facelift and updgrade and it can be used to depict other members of the T-72 family.
Dragon is the expert at doing this with the 10's of Panzer III's IV's Panther's Tiger's on the market nearly every varient is there

I think if they would update their M2 Bradley and spruce up it's interior.. they will definitely have a best seller.
Same thin with their LeClerc.. which I think is a very nice kit.
Generally speaking, they should make use of the each mold and make as many variants of their vehicles as they can. I think this new Enigma is an excellent idea which is way way overdue.

I realise they have some kits which will require more work that others but in general most are good kits, all they need is the addition of new sprue’s for the updating parts.
I noticed that Voyagers latest update set for the Dragon M1A2 to convert to a Tusk version is approx £60 (plus £40 for the kit) It wouldn't be beyond these manufacture to add additional sprues to update the existing kit and breath new life into these models.
Another issue they could address is the slip resistant surfaces.

well, I actually would be glad if they'd decide on doing something completely new...
you have to keep in mind that their M1A2, M2A2, M113 and Chally2 for example already are updated older kits...
don't get me wrong, tamiya kits are tamiya kits so they're really worth updating but they just don't compare the industry's standard these days... just imagine tamiya releasing an M1A2v2 based on that old (30yrs+) hull... same goes for most of the other kits... (can't comment on the t-series tanks though...
