Well after a lot of trouble the Trailer unit is finished too along with it's cloth 'tarp'

Ok.. the tarp is real? or plastic? If its plastic.. that is one fantastic job in bringing out the "cloth" tarp look!!!! ... Again, the weathering is awesome. And this goes together with your Federal Tractor Unit I suppose? I like the frayed and worn out looking ropes holding the tarp down too. Beautiful job!!

Great job on the tractor/trailer...so good in fact...i'm wondering where the license plates are.

As for the tarp...nice touch, but, the detail dosen't matchup to the rig...seam lines would be nice and the corners are folded abit to perfect...kinda like a bed sheet.

The vehicle and detail is great.

Hope my next truck looks half that good.

I have to agree, you should "raggity" the tarp a bit to fit in with the well worn/worked vehicle look

GREAT JOB - CONGRATS

this is the American Army where Trucks and Trailers were often in short supply so they were well used but not 'abused'. Things like tarps and tyres would be regulary replaced and the mechanical parts well serviced even if the paint and panel are not.

As for being tied too neatly most truck drivers I know of, regardless of how their rigs look liked to tie off tarps nice and neat where possible. I know when I was in the Army I was proud of the job and took time to make it look good.

Hi animal, I do not know about the dio but I will post some pics in my album in the next week or so showing the unit togeather. The thing to be aware of is that I have made the trailer as a stand alone unit so the front support legs will look to long in pics of them both togeather.
