Saw Bronco has released their crew set for their gun kit which I picked up last year. I am planning mine to be based in Malta and wondered if I can use the crew as is or do I need to tropicalize them? Picks kind of show a mix of uniform but thinking lighter wear than the kit has.
Side note, anyone know if they took the carriages off the guns in the static sites. Again, I haven't been able to tell from the pics I have found.
Thanks all.

I am under the impression that Malta uniforms would have been way more 8th army and/or 'informal' than N European Temperate.
as in these pics

IWM Malta & search for Malta Anti Aircraft
The 40MM Bofors was a substantial bit of kit, deployed on its' own firing carriage, I don't know if the wheels would come off, but doubt why anyone would remove the gun from the carriage, as this would be a lot of work for no gain?
The only 40mms I have seen not on the wheeled carriage are the Crusader MK1 on a tank chassis & ship mounted weapons, on a specially designed ships mount.
Good luck

Thanks Jon,
I figured more tropical but one of the pics on the IWM site (under Malta Bofors) shows a gun which appears to be mounted on a concrete slab and the crew are wearing the normal dress (but not the battledress jacket). Do know the wheels came off the carriage much like the 88s but thought the lower carriage was still in place. Going to have to look at some more pics I guess. I have the old Tamiya 25 pounder crew which I could mod with bits from the 40mm crew. Or maybe Bronco will release a tropical crew.
