They are most likely going to or from the NTC / Ft Irwin out by Barstow in the east CA desert and a port for a sea deployment exercise...just in case we would ever need to do that again....hmmm

I doubt it. Those are Army Bradleys. The USMC doesn't use Bradleys. Also, the Army doesn't usually train at 29 Palms, we go to Ft Irwin, the National Training Center (NTC).

We used to pull into the Yermo Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow to unload. My last rotation there I was a train guard from Ft. Hood, very fun three days on the train, eating MRE's and looking at the scenery! Then it was a long dusty ride to Ft. Irwin on the tank trails, man I miss that crap!
