As regards possibly replacing the Tamiya gun..

assuming the gun is 120mm , any resin out there?

there does not seem to be any out ther for the challenger 1 but plenty for the 2. You could use the UK 120mm Chieftain L11 MRS Gun from accurate armour its the same model of gun.

The Chally 1 used the same gun as the Chieftain, so you can use the Accurate Armour one. The Chally 2 gun is different.
