Salut Philippe,

C'est sympa de voir des compatriotes sur ce site !
très belle réalisation que voilà.
Nice senes of actions. Where does the big green plant comes from ? Aquarium stuff ? hte whole vegetation looks nice, maybe excpet the filasse de plombier which does not like that natural.
If I can advise,I would have more of those big green plant in the bottom right corner. like thick jungle, into which the crew has found a nice clearing where to unload.
post more pics if you got
all the best,
Julien

Tres Bon !

Which is about as far as my French goes, but really nice work, there is a real feel of a snapshot almost as if a photographer took a shot when the lads landed.

I'd maybe disagree with Julien a bit, the vegetation looks pretty right for a rocky ridge top.

Hi, that's a great scene. Maybe you could add some small grasses to cover some of the rocky landscape if it was undesirable. Very nice work here

Dear Phillippe
Nice dio.
It seems that the blades are too close to the small wall???
Then we have a safety issue??
Cheers
Seb

Very nice. The build and dio setting look good to me. I see no issue with the rotors and the wall. Vietnam helo pilots would land in clearings just big enough to fit the rotor tips in frequently. You land where you can to get the troops in.

The only issue I see is the right side door gunner. It is really Dragon's fault. There should be another M23 doorgun mount on that side too. You would never see just one doorgun mount on a helo. The sitting gunner with free M60 is not right for a Huey unless it is a UH-1B/C gunship. Also, the model is a UH-1H, not a D. The kit can be built as a D, but it doesn't tell you what to add or leave off. The D had it's pitot tube on the nose, along with nose-mounted FM antennas. The H has the roof-mounted pitot, and roof-mounted FM blade and towel bar antennas, among a few other internal changes.

Overall a great looking dio though. I reposted it on Aeroscale's Rotary Wing Forum as well.

Hi all
Thank you for these details Gino, the M60 to the right gunner will be tethered as I saw him in this photo.

Thanks for your comments.
Soon.

Yes, that is the way they were hung on B and C model gunships before the M23 doorgun mount was used. All D and H models had the M23 mount on both sides, not only one. Dragon got lazy and didn't include a second M23 gunmount.
