Hi,
I just got the base coat of green on my Leclerc. I was thinking of using the hair spray technique, but have a couple questions.
1) How long should I let the Tamiya acrylic dry before spraying on the hair spray?
2) How 'heavy' is the hairspray application supposed to be?
3) How long should it dry before adding the next camo color?
Thanks,
John

When I use the HairSpray method, first I off I let the base coat dry for at least 24 hours, then coat with Future. After allow the Future to dry another 24 hours, I apply two coat of hairspray, allowing about 15-30 minutes between coats. Allowing the last coat of hairspray to dry for another 15-30 minutes I start painting right away. I will paint all required colors, leaving only 5-10 minutes between coats. After last coat, about 30 minutes, then I start the "peeling" effect. Once I have it where I want it, I leave it for a couple of hours, then apply another coat of Future.
Hope that helps, and someone else may have a different method, but this it what I found works for me.
