Folks, the link now says they are out of business (already only after a couple of months??) and it link takes you to a new company that apparently bought the molds. They say the Miliminis items will be available this spring.
Anyway, has anybody out there procured their M113 AM kits? I am doing Sgt Smith's medal of honor M113A3 track and if the A3 stuff is good and reasonably priced I would consider getting some of it to save me some time. The latest Academy kit is not bad, but it has its shortcomings that I hope(d) the Miliminis stuff would help with.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Bob

Mario, thanks for the link. I don't know CSM designs. The link from the dead Miliminis site says Wolf Battalion took over the molds. I am confused.

As far as I can see, Wolf took over Miliminis WW2 stuff? Not sure though, perhaps Cory will chime in.

I purchased the M113 masters and molds that Miliminis had. I am trying to get some good pours on the molds and am struggling some with air bubbles. I have them, I am working on getting them out, I promise. If you are looking for something particular from the range, let me know and I will try to get something out to you quickly.
And Robert, I am the one who created the 1/35 Modern Buckles for straps in photo etch. I now have a web site up but it is a small one.
Again email me with questions or concerns.

Bob,
I have seen Cory's masters and they are primarilly fixes and upgrades for M113A1/A2s. Truthfully, there is not much, beyond some of the small details that will assist you in building SFC Smith's M113A3... I am almost positive that Ron never got to the A3 items that he envisioned.
Have you looked at the items that MR models have? I have a couple of their M1064 Mortar track conversions - I have the interior finished on one, and the resin/white metal parts are pretty nice. I plan on marking the M1064 as one from 3-15 IN at OBJ Curley.
Drop me an e-mail as I have a couple of diagrams that might assist you on your quest.
John

Thanks fellas. I will reach out to you both. The buckles will come in handy on this M113 and an OIF Abrams I am going to do - a third one for me.

Robert,
That M113 track-link I gave you came from Baghdad International Airport. We set up a temporary base camp on the south end of BIAP right by where the fighting took place. Our base camp ended up being used from June 2003 through at least July 2004 and was named Camp Smith temporarily in his honor. It was then named Camp Neusche in memory of one of our soldiers that died.
If you need any Tamiya parts for your M113 project, let me know.

Thanks for that bit of history on the link, Brent. I always thought it was from an old Iranian captured M113 that you found. Do you think this could have been from a US track?
