Perhaps somebody already asked this but I'm looking for the most correct metallic paint to use on a gun tube.
I'm working on an M65 Atomic Anne, and looking at the portion of the barrel between the slide and the point where its diameter reduces.
1. Should this be steel or chrome and
2. will Testors non-buffing colors work.
3. Last question, do the the Testors Metallics, thin and airbrush exactly like normal acrylics, that is 50/50.
Thanks in advance for advice.

My suggestion - paint the area flat gray and apply AK Interactive Pigments AK-086 Dark Steel. This stuff is absolutely unbelievable. It has a metallic content and you can apply it, buff it up, and shine it! The appearance is absolutely amazing.
