Hallo, all!
Studebaker…
It is the truck, which has made a good showing within many years of war. It is enduring, beautiful, strong. The model of this truck likely was bought for its graceful form.

It was waiting on my shelf until the additional resin sets for this model were produced by Yourscale company.
The first one consists of 12 wheels and 6 brake drums, the second consists of capote and radiator enclosure.

The quality of castings is excellent: there are lettering on tires (GOODYEAR - 6 items) and Firestone - 6 items), accurate tread pattern, square wheel studs on two sides, bold lettering "Studebaker" on the radiator enclosure, beads and sunk spots’ absence, a good separability of details. There are some photos for perception of differences between details:
Radiator enclosure

The only difficulty is in cutting the rind between grate bars. But if you do it with the sharp Tamya knife on rubberized mat, this process will take 20 minutes and without any defects.
The radiator enclosure after painting:

Wheels

It is enough to drill holes with the diameter required for brake drums’ fixing.

It is enough to cut away the stud pines in butting positions for connection of brake drums with wheels.

The only thing that I have added from myself is "dummies" for pumping of tires.

The wheels after painting:

Assembling process was fast and quiet.
It was the cabin at first, of course.

Capote

I have covered the seat by foil for canvas pinches imitation.

The painted cabin.

I have added lamp wiring and replaced it with a port cover.

Then I have remodeled side mirrors using a wire and metal buttons. After painting I have imitated a mirror with a polished foil. Headlamp reflectors were made from foil too.

This is a chain and winch rope.

A painting was made by Mr. Color №12 in usual way:
• Base coating
• Pre-shading
• Finishing-coat.

This is the model after painting:

This is the model after filter coating (a color is light-beige, a coat consists of MIG oil and turpentine)

Then I made wash and imitated slivered paint (using mixture of black and brown acrylic paints Hanse). Imitation of slivered paint was made with a brush and foam plastic sponge.

Galling of the bed was made with a brush and acrylic paints.

These are usage traces.
I used five different colours of pigments. These are main of them:

The coating is easy. At first I dusted it by brush, and then fix it. After that I imitated splashes using a tooth brush. It was such an undertaking!

My work has passed in one breath not only because of the high quality of the model but also because of the additional resin set.
Here is the result.

Enjoy it.

Fantastic build!

Using foil to imitate canvas seat covering was brilliant.

Thanks for sharing,

Cheers

I really like your model and will shamelessly steal the foil idea for my projects !

I really like the way that you have weathered the vehicle

I agree, a complete show stopper. All the details are nicely done, weathering is completely believable, just all around what I strive to get my models to every time, but have yet to achieve.
