Hi guys
Below are some photos of my current build for a campaign. Hope you guys like it
I used US dark green as a basecoat, and shaded in yello green
Varnished, washed, detail painting and decal placement
Highlighted in sand yellow and green grey
The final varnish and weathering will be done once the m48 is ready to be placed as part of a dio

I think it looks great, very well-executed. I only have two nitpicks:
I have never, in ALL of the zillions of photos I've seen of US Marines in Vietnam, seen any of them with an M16/XM148 combo (the grenade launcher), or an XM 177E2 "CAR-15". This includes photos of recon Marines. Marines tended, then and to a large extent today, to get new stuff last. Accordingly, relatively "experimental" weapons (hence the XM designations on both weapons) were rarely, if ever, tried out with them. Go with standard M16 or M16A1 configurations there, along with M79s, M60s, and the occasional M14.....likewise, the 30 round magazines (as depicted in the hands of the guy with the CAR-15) were normally only found in the hands of special forces troops like US Army Special Forces, Navy Seals, LRRPs/Rangers, and MACVSOG, and then rarely.

Nice work Mojo, really liking the addition of Migs derelict car and resin figures look great too. IMHO the two Dragon figures spoil the overall look with their soft detail.
Have to agree with Robert on the m16/xm148, haven't seen a single pic showing any USMC personnel with said weapon. Though regards the CAR 15 you may want to take a look at the cover of this book, Force Recon with not only CAR 15's but 50 round mags sourced from the CIA IIRC. http://www.amazon.com/First-Force-Recon-Company-Midnight/dp/0804118736

@ Robert, James - thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll bear that in mind for my next diorama
