Hi Nigel, Des, Anyone.....

Did anyone go any further on their builds? Currently starting mine and the only completed blog I can find is Pascal's.....surely some other mere mortal has managed to complete one of these?

Cheers
Sean

Started this kit a few months ago and quit after step 1. Very poor fit and molding in my opinion for a modern kit. It is an impressive looking machine none the less and with these corrections I my decide to push on. Like you I do wish someone would finish...perhaps this is a bad sign.

I've seen those Roger with all the add-ons and they do look fantastic, but I'm lookingfor a build log where someone else has found all the flaws.

So far have got to about step 5 and finding it very frustrating. But having ordered the Pro Art radios and stowage I'm determined to push on....

Glad I could help Nigel. 😀

Check out the Blast site also. They too have a nice looking MRAP radio set. I went for the Pro Art only because I wanted some of their other stuff too..,

Looking forward to seeing this on the go again

I find all this a bit unreal... You come along and post on a kit I started nearly four years ago, then inform me there are radios and stuff available for the kit. Today I find out Pro art are closing down, so I get my order in and it gets accepted!!!

It's almost like there is someone watching over this kit and making darn sure it gets built??

Thankyou so much Sean..

Yeah, saw the news about Pro Art....shame really because they have lovely stuff but could never afford their really big sets. The War Pig was always appealing to me....

Was it 4 years ago you started? About time you finished then.... 😄

Hi Sean,

Yes, the M-ATV build can be a handful! I've built a couple of them, and, for what it's worth, the suspension is the hardest part. As you already know, none of the parts fit well, all require clean up, and so on. That said, they can look pretty nice when done!

I've never done a specific post on building one, but if it's of any help, take a look at pages 3 and 4 of a dio I did post - it's in the Diorama section and is called "Rough Road, on the Road Again". I decided to go for it on the M-ATV - adding etch parts, wire springs, working steering (turn-able front wheels that is) and so on. You'll see a few WIP pictures that might be useful - good luck with your build!

Cheers
Nick

Hello all, I am doing some pre build research for a build of the model. I looked at all of the images in this build showing issues with the instructions. I am pleased to say that Panda fixed every one of the issues Nigel pointed out here. It will make the build a bit easier. I hope if anyone has the older version they will see this thread and correct their instructions. If anyone is interest I can upload the corrected instructions here.

Regards,

Eric
