Tamiya makes the 3 color NATO paints. That scheme is a NATO standard scheme. The Desert Storm scheme is easier to do, but remember that it was once 3 color NATO and the desert tan was painted over it. The paint jobs were rather rushed so they are not supposed to be the best. Also when the turret raises, there will be spots of the 3 color camo showing where the hammerhead support rests and don't get painted while in the stored position. FYI all M981s were delivered in NATO 3 color, one of the first vehicles in the Army inventory to come with that factory applied scheme.

Clear or did I not explain it well?

PollyScale acrylics make the NATO three colors as well. They are:
505350 NATO Tricolor black (FS37038)
505352 NATO Tricolor brown
505354 NATO Tricolor green (FS34094)
