This is a heads up for those who own or are planning on using
#AK-159 Metal burnishing

The blacken-It like product has an error printed on the instructions

Quoted Text

We committed a mistake on the instructions of AK-159 Metal burnishing. In step # 3, the instruction states that you should use “soapy water” to clean the tracks before using AK-159 "Track Burnishing Fluid". The correct way to prepare your tracks must be to use “Vinegar and/or Acetone”. Soapy water can neutralize the effect of the product. We apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused. In the meantime if you need some additional info, you can find a very thorough instructional video on Uschi’s web:

Here is a Link to the blog.
NOTE TO ALL METAL BURNISHING USERS. Dear friends of AK Interactive...

hopefully this will help anyone that may be having this problem with the product.

James.

Thanks for the heads up James. Since this is an Uschi van der Rosten product I'd recommend viewing the tutorial at the link below (which states not to use detergent for a cleaning solution).

Even if you're not going to use this product, the website is one of the best out there and well worth a visit

Uschi tutorials

Edit...I see the site is provided in the AK link also, so I'm just being redundant as usual ;-)
