HI guys. I have my Dragon T-34/85 assembled and primed. I'm about to paint it but I was wondering what I should seal it with after I paint it, in order to protect it from the wash I will be doing? Should I use Testors Dullcoat or something else?
I am painting it in enamels and will be using oil for weathering. Thanks!

What I do after base coat and before washes (oil/terp) is to give a nice coat of Testors Gloss Coat. The gloss coat provides a nice smooth surface for the wash to 'run' on. Capilary action is helped and you'll get a nice wash. (decals go on a gloss base too).
Then after the wash is dry do a coat of dull coat.

To avoid surprises what I do is to seal it with Future (acrylic floor polish) or with transparent gloss acryl. Once dry I wash it with oils then seal it again with another acryl clear matt coat...

If you're looking to build in a hurry, seal the paint with Future. This cures very fast. It has to, since it's designed as floor polish and you have to get back to using the floor pretty quickly. If you only have Glosscote, use that and let the tank sit a couple days before applying the wash. This will be touch dry in less than an hour and you can use the time to apply your decals. These should be applied before you start to weather your tank so they'll look like they went through the same wear and tear as the rest of the paint.
