Hi everyone,
Hobbyboss Boxer MRAV or Revell GTK Boxer GTFz
I think it is hard to decide, IMHO Hobbyboss kit is better detailed but the Revell one is more realistic (production model).
Which Boxer do you choose and why? Which one is better detailed and accurate??

I can't comment on Accuracy, but the HB one seems better detailed- I bought both. However, like you said, it is the prototype. The RoG version has hatches molded closed but is less expensive, No aftermarket for the Revell one yet. The DEF Model wheels will fit but you have to reshape the plastic attachment points on the Revell kit

hello,
There are some resin wheels for the Revell kit from Djiti Production. I've got this set and the wheels looks very nice.

Hi there,
Saw the PE set from Revell for their Boxer in Nuremberg. Together with Djiti`s wheels, it´s improves the kit a lot.

Thanks a lot for your interest and responses guys. So far I understand that the Revell kit is better but need detail improvement..
Also I heard that the .50 needs to be changed with aftermarket barrel because of the heavy sink marks, and I think anti-slip patches are too thick in both kits..
And Hans-Hermann, when will the photoetch set from Revell on the market??

Hi Cagkan,
can`t tell when the PE set will be available. I only saw it in Revell packaging at the Eduard booth. You might check Revell homepage for this. http://www.revell.de
There is a simple reason for the inaccuracies in the Revell kit. Since the kit was developed in cooperation with KMW company, part of he deal was that certain areas of the vehicle sholud not be to detailed. OPSEC reasons. The FLW 200 RWS lacks certain details, but if you wait `til summer, you will get a resin replacements. I will wait with my second Boxer (AFG version) until then.

That is good news! I bought a second Boxer as well, so I will be keeping that one until the PE and RWS come out

Hi,
I would recommend the Revell kit. Although it may lack some details, it's a very good basis for a good model. Also, it is easy to convert and detail. I have already built two versions and I am trying to get some castings of an open rear ramp ready soon. You might like to check my Boxer adventures here: boxers by erik It's in dutch but I guess most pictures speak for themselves.
Cheers,
Erik

I was pasing time on eBay this evening when I stumbled on this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-35-Advanced-Resin-Vajra-German-Boxer-MRAP-AFV-full-resin-kit-HTF-/231589896101?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
I've never seen this before - nor have I ever heard of the company. But the parts layout looks ok to be.
An alternative to the suggested kits ????????????

Varja Miniatures is kind of a mystery. noone knows where they come from and whos behind this. But Many think that the resin kits served as base for some injection molded kits. I bought their Buffalo MPCV a while ago and was very pleased with the quality. As for the GTK Boxer, it is the same prototype as the HobbyBoss kit and it is highly likely that HobbyBoss took some "inspirations" out of it.
