Michael's ain't the only one who never heard of it. #:-)

What is it supposed to be used for? "Regular" horsehair is stuff that is used inside upholstered furniture. It's pretty ratty-looking black, tangled, matted, stuffing.

I did a Google search on Porion and it looks like it is some kind of putty, like auto body filler or epoxy putty. reading its description at http://www.timbermate.com.au/products/porion.html

it's an "External Flexible Filler" -- If I were you, I'd print out the page and take it to Home Depot or some other home improvement place and ask what they have that fits the description.

Hey! Another google search came up with this thread from Missing Links: http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/thread?forumid=78970&messageid=1034180187

I still don't understand what exactly is does that is so much better than other dio materials

I tried to order both Flexibark and rubberized horsehair from the vendor listed in the ML thread. Their prices were very good- but the shipping was VERY high- I had to cancel the order.
Hudson and Allen Ivy consists of leaf litter and a piece of rubberized horsehair. Pick up a pack or two of this and see if you like the rubberized horsehair.
Maybe one of our distinguished members from the UK can look into shipping costs and some of us over here can bulk purchase ?

Thanks Colonel and Captain,
Would any of our U.K. partners ship rubberized horsehair and/or Porion to us? I am in Kansas and would reship to Armorama folks that would want some. My company can package and reship the items.
This works both ways. If any U.K. modelers want U.S. products that are hard to get over there, we can ship to you.
I have a Czech connection, my son, for products from the 7 or so companies in the Czech Republic that make products for us modelers, like Plus Models, Czech Masters, Aber, etc. This could be a great Armorama benefit.
