I have considered purchasing a Eastern Express kit. Seeing some scratch-building, already, I'll follow along to find out what quality they are.

It looks like good progress so far, I especially like the mesh screens, you will be adding those baffles under the screens I hope because they are correct.
The kit is crude but relatively accurate.

You might get easier, if you buy Trumpeter kit. Should be released this year.

To their KV-1s? Yes, roughly. Maybe a bit harder to build than a Zvezda, and you should replace with the mod cons (barrel, tracks, etc) if you can, but I got a good result with this kit.

The instructions of this kits are so so too...

I'm really liking it. I would wait for the more expensive Trumpeter kit, but(from what I've read) the EE kit doesn't have any major work that needs to be done to make it accurate.

Exceptional work! I enjoy the rugged look Soviet armor has. They definitely had purpose-built tanks.

The soviets have a good tanks in that time, but they were very simple.
