The Azimut's conversion AZI35118 and Revell's Wolf is on it's way to me..Hope you guys can educate me a bit on this..
Which units in the MC uses them?
4 man crew? So how much gear/MOLLE packs will be carried?
Would they only have green versions?
Probably going with a 50cal for the main, and a M240B or M249 SAW mounted on a Swing Arm for the Vehicle Commander's side.
What other weapons would be carried? And how much ammo?
Finally what kind of COMMS set up would they have?
I'd like to make it as interesting as possible of course..
Thanks A Zill...

Yes there are a few US IFAV in sand color, but not much. I believe there are especially in Nato camouflage.

The vehicle was an intrim vehicle (IFAV - Intrim Fast Attack Vehicle) used by Marine Recon and later MARSOC (MARine Special Ops Command) units mainly in the mid-'90s. It was fully retired in '06. Only 18 were used in Iraq and a few have been used in A'stan as well.
Here are some in sand.
In Iraq, they also had extra side armor added.
More info here.

Please let me know how this kit is. I've heard people say that some of the kits are incomplete when it comes to all the parts.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info Gino.
Any idea on the COMMS they used? I'm wondering if I can use Pro Art's SF set.
Peter I will post a WIP later..

No idea on the coms setup. From the pics I have seen, they don't even have antennas.
I would just go with a SINCGARS stack and two antennas to be safe.

This one appears to be fitted with a SATCOM (?) dome antenna...

There's a wargaming miniature on the SEAL IFAV. I don't know where the source info is from or if this vehicle is even accurate. I can say that if accurate, there are many differences from the USMC IFAV.

I recieved the USMC Wolf conversion today, the castings is pretty good, but some small parts broke.
Yes Peter, the photoetch sheet and 2 rear L bars were missing. I'm waiting on the replacement.
I will post WIP when my other ones are complete.

Arrrgh! I was hoping that no parts were missing. I don't know how well Azimut is in replying to missing parts. Please let me know when you receive the pieces. Thanks.

Did you ever receive the replacement parts? Have you started construction on this kit yet?

How long has it been since you requested the replacement parts? I ask because I too am interested in the Azimut IFAV conversion. But if one cannot obtain the parts...
