Hi Miroslav,
I don't know if FAUN SLT 56 which was released by Trumpeter in 1:35 scale has been in Afghanistan but there are some pictures of the FAUN SLT 50-3 truck in "Tankograd GECON ISAF Wustentarnung" book.
Photos show the vehicle at Mazar-e-Sharif, in early 2011.

A few years thinking about converting to SLT 50-3. I'll see how it will taste the time and reference photos.

There's still no German Leo's in Afganistan though right?
Anybody use Leo2A6 there other than Canada?

Nope, no Bundeswehr tanks in Afghanistan.....only the Danish Leopard 2A5DKs as in the image and USMC M1A1 Abrams.

Yeah you right, the big giveaway being the slt-56 has two pairs of front headlights, elephant has 1 pair.
Didnt pick it up till you said so (me bad)(yes I have the -56 kit with leo 2a6)

Milo,
Both photos are showing the Faun Elefant with 52t trailer (SLT-50-3) not the Faun Fransizka with 56t trailer (SLT-56) which is the Trumpeter kit.
Maybe you can make a nice conversion to build the Elefant and release the 4-axle off-road trailer to go with it. would be nice for your Canadian range of kits also![]()
Gr,
Marcel
