Hi all,
On the photo below, my question is would the connection point on the one suspension arm still look like the 'empty circle' or should I sand the mounting point away?
Also, in my M24 Chaffee book and looking around online, I cannot tell how 'obvious' the plate seam is on the rear of the tank.
Thanks,
John

Looking at my references, the mounting point on the suspension arm should actually be larger and more pronounced. Given, this is on a museum tank, so they 'could' have just used any arm they wanted, but for the sake of repairs and replacements, seems legitimate to just use the same arm in all 5 positions, and just not connect the damper to the middle arm.
There is a definite seam between the rear plate and the hull sides, but it's not crazy. Just welded from what I can tell.

Thanks Jesse. Appreciate the info. Guess i will put a weld bead along the seam.
