Aside from having a wicked name, the Mobile Strike Force Vehicle (props to whoever coined that one) this looks to be an interesting vehicle. I love the ASV, and have crewed it, but it's not without it's faults. This looks like a great compromise. The APC variant looks to be very similar to the Columbian APC variant except with an O-GPK vs GPK. I have been waiting to find out more about this vehicle as I'm currently about 85% done with my Iraqi APC conversion and I'd love to do one of these too.

Here are some links I dug up regarding this vehicle, including one on a French discussion forum with a side by side of the MSFV next to an M1117. Apparently the Afghans are calling them the "Tiger" and this will form the backbone of their new armored corps.

That's great looking! is this one of the stretched chassis? I can't remember if the Columbian ones were longer than the M1117

Yes, 24 inches longer and the roof is raised as well. With the Iraqi trucks, they are also stretched, but the roof is raised after the driver and TC hatches, where as the Afghan and Columbian trucks are raised from the front all the way rear. The links have a pretty good explanation. They are also supposed to be getting other variants down the road like C&C, a mortar carrier, and a recovery truck. The actual M1117 ASV as used by the US and Bulgaria and some that went to Iraq are the only ones that are the shorter hulls.

My perfect ASV would be this hull with a CROWS II on it, though I hear they have improved the turret controls since I learned them in 2007.
