I have used Mig productions lots of times like there range of washes/ weathering powders and filters. Is the AK Interactive kind of the same? as I have not used this stuff yet.
I want to try there early panzers weathering set.
Any thoughts and comments will be gratefully appreciated.

Hello Karl

Maybe I am not the right person to reply this, or maybe I am the right one, because, I created both products and both brands, so I know everything about both.

AK producst are an evolution of what I made in MIg Productions during many years. When I developed the new stuff for Ak, I decided to change and improve many aspects, like the formula, which give more stability to the colors, more quality control, and what is more important, I was able to reduce retail prices and in some products giving more quantity, like the pigments.

But another big difference is that AK have many new products that never was made by my old company, like all range of Streaking Grimes, which is exclsuive of Ak, all dust, earth and mud colors or other like the productos to make chipping and fading plus the new Modulation sets.

So, almost all AK stuff is completly different to MIG because have different stuff, adapted to the actual days.

IN another hand, I still developing new ideas, and we are a big team of people working in AK, taking care of the modellers when they have doubts or problems, making paint demostrations and helping to many people to go forward in the modelling.
When I was in MIG, I made that task too, but now I just do it for AK.

Anyway, if you still have a lot of MIG stuff, and you feel confortable with it, continue using it without any problems.
Many people who doesn't know that I am not in Mig Productions since 3 years ago, still asking me about my old stuff, but I reply it also and I help as much as I can too.

Thank you and I hope it could be useful.

My own opinion is that the washes and filters from AK are noticeably better than the original MiG ones, with better coverage and more control and frankly better results out of the bottle. Not that MiG stuff isn't good, it's just that AK is noticeably improved.
