Hi guys, I just purchased a Harder and Steenbeck Infinity airbrush and it has a .15mm needle and nozzel set. Ive never used a set so fine and I'm having a lot of trouble with clogging. I was spraying Vallejo Air sand mixed with some retardant and the brush would completely clog. Can u guys give me some hints and tips on using such a fine needle? Thinning. Air pressure. It was pretty frustrating. Also, what kind paint/air mix works best with the thin lines you can get with the quick

Hi Jeff. I was spraying at about 20psi and was just putting in a drop of flow enhancer and two or three drops of water.

I have had a similar problem with my Iwata. I find that I have to thin the paint a bit more than I usually do. If I don't, the finish is pebbly and the brush is constantly clogging. I would recomend mixing at a 3:7 water:paint ratio. If this does not work, increase the amount of water slightly. Keep doing this until you get a smooth flow. It may take a few more coats, but will look that much better. I have used MM enamels and Tamiya acryls. For flow retarder, I use a few drops of glass cleaner.
