I've had my eye on this flesh paint set by Andrea Color for a while. Is it worth getting for just 1/35 scale figures?

What exactly do you mean by just 1/35 figures?

The paints are excellent, especially for 1/35 or 54mm figures.

I guess that wasn't very clear. What I meant is that, in 1/35 scale or 54 mm, the figures are pretty small. Will this much detail for flesh make a noticeable difference on a figure that small, especially when only the face and hands will be visible?

I've used it for two years now for 1/35 figs, and I love it. The colors match each other well, blends well and they are so easy to use.
I have no reason but to give them my recomention.

Absolutely! You just need to practice your fine painting skills.

The paint set also comes with a nice guide on painting faces to achieve the depth that will make your figure much more realistic looking.

Go to Andrea Depot USA and have a look through their figure line. Check out the newer figures as they are better detailed, such as the Viking, Roma, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Dark Nova lines. They are all 54mm, with a few exceptions, and all of them are painted with Andrea paints.

There isnīt that much difference between Andrea & Vallejo paints. I have the Vallejo 8 colour for face & skin tones but it doesnīt come with any guidance. Depending on the amount of figures that you do I can recomend both sets because mixing ,blending, applying washes & dry brushing is very easy with this type of paint but because there are more paints with the Vallejo set I donīt have to mix ,unless itīs something bigger than 1/35. Thereīs even a colour to paint the lips to make them look natural,( I say that without the intention of sounding like a cosmetic advert).

David- this really is a fantastic set, I have been using it for quite some time to paint both 1/35 and busts. The only drawback is that the colors somewhat limit you to that of mild-climate central European skin. If you want a face that is exposed to bitter cold or has been tanned by the sun, for example, then other colors are required- the good thing is Andrea paints mix perfectly with Vallejo colors giving a huge range of options.
