Hi all!
Here are some pictures of my soon finished 1/72 scale diorama called "Taking the Scenic Route" It has vehicles from Revell and MAC and figures from Milicast, Preiser and Mantis Miniatures... The trees are scratch built and the Windmill comes from Frederikus Rex...
There are many details left to do and also some more figures to add before I can call it finished.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers

Another great scene. You always make original works. Remember, you are invited (like other modellers) to Torrent' constest.

No need to say that your work is always great, but I think this one is exceptional. The whole scene is beautiful.. the windmill and the ground work, and of course the vehicles and figures.. all top notch

Thank you very much Hisham!!!
This is my first diorama where I have left the oval small bases behind and went for something a little bit bigger... Very scary at first because of the size but I feel pretty comfortable with it now, just a few things left to do...

That's incredible work! I really like your shading of the figures (cows included) and vehicles. The display base is flawless as well. Any tips/ references to your painting techniques would be cool. Congrats

Thank you very much Greg!!!
The cows were done more or less the same way I do my vehicles.
1. Black basecoat
2. Build up the desired top colour with the airbrush but leave a little of the black showing through in deepend areas to create shadows
3. Paint in the details, in this case horns and eyes
I write sometimes for the Military Modelcraft International magazine where I describe in detail how I do these things. Some stuff can also be found on my Facebook page.
Hope it helps

Man Sven-Ake! Another great looking Dio! Brings back memories of a trip to Kinderdijk several years ago. Love the vehicles/figures too. I used your article on the Merkava you did to do my Merkava, hope mine looks half as good as yours, thanks for the tips! BTW-mine is in the "Sands of Israel" campaign. I never get tired of seeing your work!!!

Hi Kerry!!!
Glad you enjoy my diorama! I took a look at your Merkava and it looks great with the anti-slip surfaces and the mineroller. It's going to be very cool!!!
Cheers and good luck with your build!

I attempted to sculpt a figure for the diorama today...
It started out as a Preiser russian soldier who was shortened 4 mm and most of it's original clothes was shaved off... More details are to be done and the shoes are to be fixed as well...

Amazing work! Your builds and dio's are always impressive. I'am just starting to venture into making small bases and dio's and will be quite happy if I can produce anything that is even half this good!

Simply stunning work!
The re-sculpting is excellent.
