Odd that MiniArt has gone with the Beutepanzer option here, though I'm sure thousands of these were captured in the first months of the Great Patriotic War.

Thanks for the mention Tom, and good review, the dealies under the front are VERY Fragile, so much care is needed there. the plastic can be a little brittle too, so watch out when removing stubs. and small pieces. The Build is on hold for a little while till i get some paint sorted.

Glad you liked the mention! For figures I'd suggest looking at the various "repair crew" sets like MA's own 35011 German Tank Repair Crew or their 35062 German Soldiers at Rest (The guy bending over to wash his hands could easily be reaching in to twiddle a spark-plug lead...). Be prepared to mix&match limbs to get an ideal pose!

If I remember correctly the Zvezda Merc truck had a figure looking under the bonnet. If you didn't want to buy the truck kit, as nice as it is, you could see if someone has it left over from a build prepared to part with it.

Frenchy, I can't tell from the color photo whether the Germans repainted the trucks, though it looks green to my eyes. And if repainted, what color? Panzer Gray, I assume in the Early War, though the last photo on the first page of that link you posted is clearly a dusty tri-color camo. There is also a Nazi parade some pages later with a striped-camo paint job.

I don't believe the new owners would repaint the truck panzer grey...but camouflage is another story.
Talking about useable figures, maybe one of these would do the job ?
