Hi, I'm attending a model show in April where I'll be able to buy Vallejo paints. I'd like to switch completely to acrylics, so I start from 0.

In the near future I'll be doing mostly German and Russian armor of WWII. Do you have any advice which Vallejo paints do I have to buy to be able to paint German 3 cammo tone and Russian armor? So a basic list , if it's possible.

I'm using the AB to paint, could I buy the Model paint and thin it or it's better to buy the AIR?

And for that cammo and color, what shades and color of oil paint is needed to do the fading? White brown blue!?!

Thanks

HiSandro, first thing yesyou can use model colour through a airbrush just thin with water.
Vallejo model colour dark yellow, german camoflage brown, german camoflage green,to fade them you can wash with thin buff or a burnt Umber wash,I use a oil paint from mig productions german triple camoflage fade works a treat.for Russian you can use Russian green but i prefer to use Tamiya olive drab the weathering eliminates the base colour, some people just use a dark green again the weathering negates the base colour.oh yes nearly forgot Vallejo do a dark Yellow primer which can be used as a base colour. hope this helps
