I don't have any experience with Master Box figures, but have only heard good things. Would these figures be accurate for the Third Battle of Kharkov 1943?

The set in question is excellent. I just got in their latest trio of figure kits and each is outstanding in detail and range of motion. MB has gotten to the top of the field and are neck and neck with Draqon and are slightly better than MiniArt. There are several quality makers of figures out there, each has something special to offer.
This set is just waiting for that next gust of icy wind. Brrrrrrrrr.

I shall be ordering these figures then.Would like to put them in a diorama along with a Panzer III ausf N pushing towards the Easten front as the cold weather sets in.
Now I have to find a good winter panzer crew.

Thanks for your replys

Matt,

FWIW, I'd say these guys are best for an "at the gates of Moscow" kind of vignette. (Note the "Winterschlacht im Osten" or "Order of the frozen flesh" medal and ribbon shown on the box.) They're all wearing normal field uniforms and boots with great coats and not the specialized winter combat uniforms that were seen later as the war progressed. Just about everything shown in the box art screams of that first terrible (for the Germans) winter.

For a later winter dio, troops in the two-piece reversable camouflaged winter uniform would be a better choice, I think, especially for front line troops.

HTH,
