I want to model the doors of my M1114 conversion in the open position. This is turning out to be the only way to hide the slight warpage in the resin without serious work. I can't seem to find any sort of tutorials or How-Tos to do this. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe two or three small pieces of brass bent in a "V" to the angle of the door? Or a piece of brass rod drilled into the edge of the door and into the truck body?

Unless you plan on handling it a lot, the methods you describe are not needed. A bit of superglue along the hinge will hold it just fine.

I agree with Gino.
Just a note,I am not a fan of PE,but the Academy kit came with pieces just for having doors open that are bent in a V shape and I have to admit they made the open doors alot easier.

I didn't even consider just straight super glue. I will give it a try.
