which are the correct green and brown colors from gunze and or valejo range,mixing and diluting suggestions appreciated. further,is green grey 886 from valejo the correct uniform color for the early and late standard combat uniform in the pacific.

I did some research before i painted my marines, and 886 came up as the best paint to use.

That is a good start for beginner. Remember, many many manufacturers produced gear during the war. That along with age and usage ment the colors varied greatly. In other words, you have some room to manuver here. LOL!

in the movie the thin red line wasn't the uniform darker ? a kind of field drab ? or was that army ?
