i'm calling this one finished, 'at least for now'

The Figure and Base still need some work, but since i'm leaving for a kind of deployment, i won't be able to work on them

The kit is Tamiya's M1025
with Legends GMV conversation + alot of scratchbuilding

makes me wanna build a dumvee right away (well, I just finished a hmmwv today but heck, why not )

the attention you've paid to even really small details (worn camo on the eo tech...) are just way cool...
Congrats!

Cheers, Max

It's not fair to take pics of the real thing and call them pics of a model. All kidding aside the model is perfect in my eyes.

Been a while since I last saw this Gijs, and its gotten even better since then. Everything is spot on and the details are fantastic.

This is just the motivation I need to finish Thor

Keep it up, and stay safe on your deployment!

Very nice model with an impressive accuracy.

How did you make the small piece on the top of the antennas ?

Thanks Guys, this realy motivates to continue on this one but i don't have the time , I even want to make a M1165 Based GMV, lots of fancy stuff to scratch , but i need to collect more info for that build.

@Alex, i made them by dipping the antenna's upsidedown in PVA glue a couple of times.

WIP of the Base + Figure

the Figure will get ACU camoflage, and on the base i need to add some civillian stuff, maby one of these fancy afghani flower pimped bicycles

Really great build! What did you use/how did you make the stretcher?

the strecher was made by 2 evergreen rods of 1.6mm Ø, and 56mm long
drill out the ends, the stretcher should 15mm wide, cut some strips for that,
for the "feet's" bend some 1.6mm evergreen strip in a square, glue it together and add some tissue with whiteglue around it.

Alex you need to do this slowly, first dip it in white glue and let that dry upsidedown. (don't overdo this you only need a little ball)

repeat this untill you get the size you need
'little by little'

Very nice... Job well done!
Like the paint job on the figures a lot..

Not to critize but.. the small motor for pulling the ammo up to the chaingun will get into some hard work picking the ammo up from the floor.

Gjis,
I've been following this build and I have to say that it really was worth the wait.
this definitely is one of the best models I've seen in a while.
great attention to detail and the paintjob and weathering really do justice to all the effort you must have put into this. not to mention the base and figures (is that Rob (18bravo) I see there? )
don't forget to keep us posted on your other projects!

Cheers, Max
