I just want to gauge the number of builders joining in on this Group Build, and try to drum up more support. This build was started back in July but somehow got lost under the overwhelming number of threads that get posted here. Anyway, it will continue on until the end of February 2004.
The rules have been previously stated by TankCarl and SS-74 and are located below.

TIME: 1 July till the end of the year.If you want something and can't get it soon,no worries.

THEME: Tank Destroyers. Purpose built , kill one type of target , vehicles.

ERA: If it was called a tank Destroyer then it is suitable. (Creativity points for pre WWII vehicles)

SECTIONS: Wheeled,Towed Gun,1/2 track,Full track. (Soviet anti tank dogs are a nyet-nyet)

SUBLOTS: As SS said:
"Da Real McCoy"
88mm carried TD (elefant, hornisse, etc), 17 pounders (archers, etc), 90mm, or such big gun TD, SU-122, SU-85, etc

"Da Wannabes"
Hetzers, Marders, etc, etc

"Da Door Knockers"
them halftrack mounted with a 37 mm, etc, etc,

"Da 'Are you Kidding me?' "
either the real crazy 128mm jagdtiger, or the real small TK with 20mm guns...

PARTICIPANTS: It's a Group Build - anyone and everyone is invited - including Aircraft modelers! Whip out those A-10 Warthogs!

If you have any questions, please post them in this thread. We'll start new threads as we all begin to make progress and desire to show what we have so far. :-)

Absolutely! The more the merrier.

I'm still deciding on which kit(s) to do. I may even wait for the M36 to be released.

I'm in. Almost finished 'Old Faithful' and have just received Italeri's RSO with Pak 40. Now that was put together to solely Kill Tanks, no mg at all. :-)

Maybe there will be time to do Trumpeter's Type 89 TD (Presently the only 'modern' TD).

'By the Power of Grey.......' Oops wrong movie.

Well i'm in anyway!

TD mk1 for Bush use only. Fire and forget (about the donkey anyway!)

But is 88 MM allowed? artillery piece

You bet! The 88mm was one of the most feared and effective TD pieces.

I agree with Ken, actually the 88 mm is defined as the Real McCoy in this GB.

Stug4 is it a T.D.

Yes! I think it was actually built as an assault gun, but it certainly was a capable TD.

How do join a GB? Do you just post pictures when it's over? I would like to do an Italeri Hetzer that will be "refurbished." Someone gave me a built kit that was really bad, and want to do it over.
