Very Nice T-62. I really like the replacement fuel tank and the general weathering.

First of all well done on making a nice looking Tamiya
T-62. Secondly how did you create the chipping on the front glaisis. Also what brand of tracks did you use.
Thanks
Euan

Yes, how did you manage to do it? It looks incredibly convincing. Did you use the hairspray technique?

Yes I must say the chipping does look particularly good. The overrall look of the model is very nicely cone- the bent fenders, colored un-ditching beam, mis-matched fuel tank, the old bucket and the MG cover- it all adds up to a very satisfying look. The weathering is also nice considered.

Yes, for all chipping I used hairspray technique. Only bucket with brush.

For brown colour I used Tamiya X-9 as first layer. Second, placed as spots, mixed with a bit of black, third placed as second but with a bit of red.
Green is Tamiya XF-58, first higlights are mix with Gunze H4, second with H4 and Tamiya XF-2.
For dusting Gunze H79.
In first post I put link with WiP pics, there are shown phases of this painting.

That looks a beauty.
I had always heard Tamiya's T-62 was a dog but you have made it look fantastic.

Yup, it's not what you have, it's what you do with it that counts. Excellent work.
