Something old, something new:

This is the Tamiya M13/40. I built it not soon after it was released in the mid-1970s. A bit of history, I built this before I started painting models much, and washed it with school kid water color! I liked this model enough that it didn't fall to a barrage of firecrackers and eventually painted it and applied the decals. The tanker was repainted about 15 years ago.

Anyway, I used it to demonstrate 1/35 vehicles in a review of Desert Oasis Diorama Kit

Enjoy!

Hi Frederick!

I really liked the palm trees!!

If you allow me a humble tip, would be nicer if you put the trail of the crawler on the ground.

Anyway, this is a great work. Congratulations!

Hi Rodrigo,

I appreciate the tip. It does look toy-like without tread tracks. I decided not to mold any tracks because I want to keep the basic diorama suitable for any subject. What I think I'll do is add loose sand to make tracks for any particular model I display on the diorama.

Thanks again!
