As I was helping my boy build a M-1 Slick I stuck the M1 turret (oversized) on my 60a1 chassies and wondered if anyone has built the M60-2000/120S as proposed by GD land systems a few years ago?

The hull and fenders need to be built up with sheet plastic. Fuel cells with filler caps from the M1 need to be added to the rear fenders to match the engine deck height. The larger fender stowage bins on the front need to be replaced by the bins that are from the M1 as well. The roadwheels, idlers, and sprockets need to be replaced with M1 parts as well. You'll also need T-158s, probably idie's for the M60's shorter running gear. You'll need to scratchbuild the side-skirts becuase of the running gear again. You'll also have to replace the M60 headlights and headlight guards with those from the M1 as well. You'll then have to cut out the M60 turret ring and replace it with an M1A1 turret ring, and then you'll have to install the M1A1 turret. Best recommendation would be to buy a cheap M1A1 kit and an Academy M60. Some people would chose an ESCI M60, but that kit's OOP.

Google turned up this build:

Interesting subject. When I get around to finishing my M60A3, I might have to give this a try.
