Greetings from New Zealand (Rightful Home of the Rugby World Cup).
I've seen a lot of builds where Aluminum food containers are used.
The aluminum t/away containers we have here (and I suspect you have) have a thin plastic coating do you
A) remove the coating
B) leave in place
If A how do you remove that coat coating I've tried to scrap then lift it with no real success.
Ideas/Help please
Chris

Hi
Here in Italy that aluminum containers are made....only in aluminum
Anyway, have you tried to melt the plastic coating using a lighter?
Another method that you could try is washing the container with a rag dump with nitrocellulose thinner.
In both cases I think the aluminum container wouldn't be damaged and the plastic would be removed
cheers

Hi Chris
This is the type of container I use for the source of aluminum.
There is no coating on these that I know of !!!!!!! I have also used larger trays that you use for roasting turkeys in oven on !!!!!!!!!! Again, no coating that I know of on those either !!!!!!!!!!
Do you have a photo of the type of container you have and a close up of the coating ??????????

More questions ???????
Do the trays that you are talking about have shaping to strengthen them, or are they mainly smooth and flat panels that you can cut and use for flat surfaces.
Also, can the aluminum be embossed into shape gently even with the plastic, or does the plastic coating surface break up ????????????
If the aluminum is already plastic coated, it may have its uses if other plastics can be bonded to the coated site.
A picture does say a thousand words though.
