I have the bare multipose figures. The detail is soft but they're still very useful.

Yes, I was looking at using some of the civilian figures for a vignette. And, possibly, the marching German infantry for a parade.

Are you talking 1/35 or 1/72? Preiser makes military figs in both scales, as well as HO.

I agree. Their 1/35 figures are a little soft compared to Dragon, Masterbox, etc...etc. Their 1/72 figures are, however, very good, and are second only to (unfortunately very few) Dragon figures.

Hello Matt,

The Prieser figures are quite good, the fact is that they are (a) quite cheao and (b) the only alternative although there are a few Masterbox figure sets too. I have a few sets of the German troops and they are in original poses.

If apply a bit of basic modelling work and they will turn out just fine.

Cheers

I had planned on super-detailing them, as the ones I'm looking at are cookie-cutter figures.

I have used quite a few of their sets (Civilian and military).

The figures are on the medium side for size (tad smaller than MiniArt and Masterbox)

For WWII civies "well fed".

Detail is a bit soft when it comes to the faces but otherwise solid

Assembly is simple, little flash, good fit

Quite a few of their civilians can be used post WWII well into the 1970s/early 80s.

The instructions are on the Inside of the box so once you start assembly the box has to be cut apart

Painting tips are sparse

Hi Matt,

Later than I had intended but here are a few pictures of these figures.

The webbing equipment may not be DML Gen 2 standards but it is well detailed. The plus points I find are the hands actually holding weapons/slings I know that this complicates painting but it solves the floating rifle problem.

An interesting point that I have remembered is that at first i though the moulding of the rifles was off, but they are not Kar98Ks but actually Kar 98b's as witnessed by the indentation on the stock and a slight difference in size. My other point is that the extra equipment is very good, grenades (egg and stick) and marching packs. I also have the resting troops and that set is one of the best I have found.

Regards

Brian

I have no problems with the weapons being "in-hand". I usually brush paint them. Looks like, with a little bit of scraping and sanding the web gear can be made more realistic. As far as the quality of detail to the faces, I'm not expecting DML Gen 2 figures. They are priced right and, with a little work, should be able to fill some gaps in other manufacturers' lines.
