My base work is done, just a bit of dusting at the end. All that is left is weathering the vehicle and I will have completed my second dio. Im already looking to #3!

Very nice ! I like the way figures turned out. If I can ask one question, and please forgive my lack knowledge but what did you use for sand is that real sand or somthing else.

Thanks Chip and Wolfsix, The base was done using a combination of real sand (very fine grain) cat litter and Ballast from Woodland scenics. Wall spackle on the base first then a sprinkle from each above. Water and white glue was sprayed on in 3 coats to help hold it all together. The stones were found around the yard.

As I have frequently said, dioramas like this, simple, but with a bit of a story are worth 50 of the all-singing, all-dancing 'Meisterworks'. I am really looking forward to seeing everything in place and finished....Great stuff, Jim

Very nice groundwork. I like the uniforms on the figures, tells a well worn story. I belive it's more the photo than the paint, the figures hand in the first photo look a bit black to me. The colors are well contained and blend wonderfully, can't wait to see the car in it too.
