Great review Seb, nicely detailed.
Having built this kit (twice) it has it’s share of problems like many of the others out. And yeah you will need to spend some time cleaning up some of the flash.
Here I will list some of the problems with the instruction sheet and parts.
Page 5, part F51 needs to be added on both sides before adding F50
Page 9, parts listed C21should be G21
Page 9, bumper (left/right) parts A4,5,6,7,27 and 28 will need some TLC, fit it off some.
Page 9, parts F45,F15 fit well but instructions are not clear were to go, need to refer to page 10.
Page 9, there are (6) small bumps on top of the frame that need to be removed, but it’s listed on Page 23 to do so. It’s easier doing early, look on page 23.
Page 10, parts A25,23,16,18 and 10 are somewhat confusing, dry fit will help to understand.
Page 11, parts listed F9,F6 should be C9 and C6
Page 12, parts listed D23,D35 should be D33.
Page 14, beware of how D26 is fitted.
Page 16, spot light assemble on passenger side is missing part B23 from the instructions, follow along like the drivers side.
Page 19, there are three (3) raised strips along the tops of parts G39, you will need to shave off the inner strip of each fender in order to fit the tool boxes on both sides, again dry fit.
Page 19, clear parts listed 14,16 should be M4,M5 and M6
Page 19, PE-1 x’s4 are long, will need to be trimmed.
Page 25, parts E17 and E18 are somewhat confusing were to be placed, dry fit.
Try to install driveshaft pieces in step 11, page 10, this will make it easier to get at without everything else in the way.
As for the tires, well they are a problem. They will not fit well to the rims. And yes they do have an odor of a skunk letting loose, not pulling your chain here, my wife came into the modeling room asking what is that smell.
As for the doors Seb, yes they can be displayed open.
I will applaud Kinetic for a great subject, and being their first Armor model kit I’m sure (like there aircraft) will only get better.
Again Seb great review, nicely read and great photos.
Happy Modeling,
Joe
