Looking for some reference on a 251/22 with a white wash camo.
Most pictures I have found are tri-camo vehicles.

Want to do a battle diorama with some troops fighting alongside the 251/22 but having looked at some of the Dragon figures there seems alot more winter soldiers in action, thats why I thought of a white wash camo.

Thanks in advance

Hi Karl,
Go to search bar at top of Armorama Home page, type Winter White Camo, it should bring you to a post called How to make Winter White Camoflauge. Hope this helps.

I know how to do a white wash, but I have not seen any 251/22 pak wagon vehicles with a winter camo.Been trying to find a sort of photo reference of one on the eastern front or battle of the bulge.

Thanks anyway.

Acording to The Encyclopedia of German Tanks, the 251/22 didn't start production until December of 1944, so there is only about 2-3 month window that the vehicle would have been in combat during the "white" season. That's probably why there's a shortage of photos if them in the winter whitewash camoflauge scheme.

I spent a lot of time searching for good photos of the 251/22 and never did find one in whitewash. There may be one out there somewhere, but it is very hard to find.

So am not the only one lol.
As CSOSUS has said that they were not built until December 44 but I would imagine there were some painted in a winter scheme.
I will spend sometime looking through the Axis history forum

Thanks all

Do a Google search on sdkfz 251/22. That's all I typed in. Click on Images. There is a picture in the top row that looks white-washed to me.
