Please note, if you plan to build this as the one featured on the box art, you'll want to get some 48 star flag transfers from Archer Dry Transfers for the flags. The ones on the decal sheets are 50 star flags, not the 48 star style of the 1940's. A major gaff.

Along these lines,
does anyone have any photos or references of the pipes, tubing, etc. for the hull-mounted extended range fuel drums??? The Squadron M3 Stuart in Action book has one good photo, but a portion of it is washed out, so you cannot see all of the necessary detail...
I'm doing the Marine 3rd Armored Stuart on Bougainville --- so far so good. Academy kits can have some fit problems, but the detail is always pretty good and they usually give you lots of extras. I'm about 3/4" of the way through, but so far so good. One of the major decals for this tank is printed in REVERSE! Instead of a white box with a red three it's a red box with a white three!! Arg! But the girlie picture looks pretty accurate!
Much Aloha,
Johnny B

You know what, I've spent the hour and a half searching for anything on the hull mounted tanks in the way of photos and came up dry! Holy smokes! It's the one thing I really enjoy seeing on an M3A1, because they really look unique. I can not believe that in all my references on this lil' tank that I have nothing that shows more detail other than a few pics of them from ten plus feet away, and from the wrong angle. Darn it!
The best I could come with (photo wise) is fron the site listed below:
