Have started on this today. It's the Trumpeter T-62 mod72 and I;m using MIG's M1 conversion set.

Already had a small issue, nothing too serious mind you, but something that one would think would be sorted out before production.
It seems that on the resin belly armour the front access hole for the hull plug is off by a bunch. In a way it's good because if it was off by just a little bit it would more of a PITA to fix. Just had to drill a new hole and fill in the old one.
![](../../../i140.photobucket.com/albums/r13/SaucemanRC51/T-62M1/3af3c718.jpg)
All fixed.

until next time

Good start but it's a shame MIG missed this obvious detail.

Awsome choice for your next build, can't wait to see more. Strange seeing you build outside of modern canadian armour

Just kidding, good luck with the build.
Cheers

Thanks fellas.
Yes Chris it's a little out of my usual scope. It came down to either this or a Leopard C2, we'll see how it goes. I hope to get some more work done tonight.
cheers

Thanks for following along!
Had some time at the work bench tonight which resulted in the support arms and hull top being installed. Also got the MIG piece added to the front hull. I would say MIG's resin is somewhere between Legend and CMK in quality. Not bad but definitely not blowing my skirt up

Had some time today to work on the T-62.
Did some assembly on the turret and got the fuel lines and tanks mounted as well. Going to add some bolt detail to the tank hold downs as well.

Thanks fellas,
The MIG resin is pretty good. Not too brittle at all, fairly easy to work with with good detail.
cheers

Ya it's pretty good, just add the hatches, cheek armour and a few small bits.

Well as the cold weather approaches I have started to get back to the workbench.
Got the basecoat of green on the big T, used some white mixed in with the green to lighten some sections. Gave the entire model a coat of gloss, decals, then performed a dark pin wash.
Let this dry overnight and then get some chipping down range, drybrushing and some final pigments. Hopefully my metal tracks will be delivered before then LOL.

Great job, nice seeing one that is not in those strange afghan colors. If you want, you also use a slightly lighter green for the anti-radiation layer on the turret since this tended to fade different from the rest of the tank. But overall outstanding.
Cheers

Yes looking at photos the anti-rad cladding seems to weather more than the steel turret, I'll try to lighten that up during the next stage.
cheers

Today I finished the larger paint chipping. This will be toned down with oils and filters, then the pigments.
