Hello, my name is James aka. "Doc" i am new to this part of the hobby and always wanted to try to build a tank. in this case a tiger tank does not matter what version just a good tiger to build. being new to this i have gotten some info on them off the web but always needing more info so if you got some i would be interested in getting it.
i have built many airplanes both static/RC also i currently build 18th century wooden warships etc. i would like the best kit out there and whatever aftermarket parts to do a good job. i learn fast and would appreciate a mentor not as well as the information provided here of which i feel is indispensible. So email me or update here if you have some good info for me.
Thanks in advance
Doc

Hi James. Welcome to armor modelling.
The "best kit out there" is probably any of Dragon latest Tiger kits ... any of them will build into a top class kit without going over the top on aftermarket. In my opinion you dont need to add that much to a good kit because the focus is weighing more and more on the painting and weathering now-a-days. I suggest you concentrate more on this to begin with. Armor is usually weathered heavier than aircraft and I dont know what experience you have with this.
As for mentors ... post your in-progress shots here and youŽll have quite a few mentors ... many skilled modellers who will steer you right. The help is there, just ask for it.

Hi Doc...Welcome to the site ..First off the best thing to do is decide what version you want to build... You should start with a look at David Bryden's site and go from there ..

James
The tank in which Michael Wittman was killed was 007 - not sure about the one he used at Villers Bocage.
Have fun.
