I'm about to stock up on FJ figures for a Normandy diorama, and before I dive into it I want to know what paints & colors would be best for their uniforms in that campaign? And if anyone out there knows if using the DML Fallschirmjager Regiment 3 set will work with a Normandy dio, because their uniforms look a bit different. Thanks a lot for any suggestions

You won't be able to use those ones as they're in the tropical uniform. Normandy's not that hot..lol. However any Fallschirmjager in bonesacks will be okay as it was worn throughout the war and the cut is essentially the same whether it's the early one colour or the camouflage pattern. Also if you're doing Normandy some FJ had standard steel helmets. I've got a pic somewhere of a mixed bunch of FJ with camo and plain smocks, different helmets with a captured Bren gun. Strange but true! Hope thats of some help

And for painting figures? Vallejo Model Color all the way. You can just take a look at their catalog and determine your colors.

You cannot go wrong following Andy Evans' SBS on Historicus Forma:
Historucs Forma::Painting Splinter Pattern And here:
Historcus Forma::Dragon Fallschirmjager Stunningly good work that you can't go wrong trying to emulate. Andy provides his paint mixes based mostly on Vallejo colors.
