I like to build small scenes and occasional dioramas, but it's very difficult to find so far, very many good 1/35 WW2 figures in action and especially combat or weapon firing poses. I've a huge pile of Tamiya figures and I work these pretty well, but they lack really fine detail. They do modify and mix together well to make different poses. The Dragon figures are a bit frustrating..good sharp detail, but they keep putting out sets of guys "standin around" staring off to the horizon..not very exciting. You guys all have a lot of experience, so get me hooked up and tuned in..who makes really sharp figures, styrene or resin, in fighting poses?

Yeah, I have a couple, there's 2 sets of US there, the German sets are East Front 41-42, 2 or 3 sets there, still not a whole lot to work with. I'm not really interested in glorifying the exploits of Communists so I really don't get warm and fuzzy over the Russian figure sets, though I notice more action available in that subject. Looking for West front, 44-45, US and German troops in combat poses.

I seem to remember Nemrod making some, both paratroops and regular infantry, some of whom are at least running or the like.

MB has a nice set of Germans in North Africa that are easily converted to Northern Europe. They are in full combat mode. They have some earlier ones as well, but the detail is not as crisp. With work they will look OK and also if you add Gen2 Dragon weapons and gear.
