I use Tamiya Xf-21 sky or xf-14 JA grey. both will give you that nice light green.

Sky would be better - be careful if you are doing a varient - for the CWCO last year I did an M106 (mortar M113) and because they open the top up they do the mortar bay OD and the driver compartment Sky.

Polly Scale #505254 British Sky (Type S) is a dead ringer for the correct interior color. It closely approximates the Sea Foam Green which is the actual color.

Maybe someone with a sharper ability to track ads than I can help with this. In a very recent MMI or MMiR, there was an ad that mentioned a new color that was identified as US Armor Interior light green. Can someone verify this? My M114 is sporting an interior of Sky, but too many years of experience inside those things leaves me wanting the proper light green.

I think the exact colour is FS35662, which is the same as MM Duck Egg Blue.

After staring at the inside of one for hours on end, I find Testor MM Pale Green is an excellent match. #:-)

When I was stationed in Germany in the late 70's, I liberated some of the interior green color from our motor pool to use on my models. That finally ran out, and I looked for months, comparing the color on the inside of the container to various model paints. The pollyscale color that I listed above was the exact color of the interior paint when it dried. So since then I have used that for the interior of my track models. It may not have the right FS number, but when it was painted over the real color, I could not tell the difference. I guess it is possible that the official FS color has changed since the 70's, but that is a question that SABOT and others that are still on active duty will have to help us with.

I use white (Humbrol 34) for Vietnam, otherwise Humbrol 90 with a little white, which becomes veery light pale green.

It looks that Tamiya has fooled you, just as it did many other modelers before They want you to paint the interior of their M113 white, but it is not quite correct. The interior of Vietnam era M113's was already Sea Foam Green. Only the earliest M113's (prototypes and early production vehicles) had white interior.
I have found some photos of M113 ACAV on the Internet that were taken during the Vietnam war and show the interior - and it is definitely pale green, not white.
Best Regards,
Pawel
